World, again
World in a striped cocoon
some arms are all you need to pull
the threads apart.
Before my time, I was singing
on the lake, wearing just undies,
contented with the nude air.
Some whispers tripped around me
before entering. Time leaps.
Trees are once sea plants, especially junipers.
We must look like sea plants too.
If the wind is blowing out through the mains,
and the cars are warm with people,
and the windows open to view,
and the racoons, rarely seen but known to be there,
and if all that, of everything,
comes along while you're asking,
some arms are all you need;
we must look like sea plants too.
some arms are all you need to pull
the threads apart.
Before my time, I was singing
on the lake, wearing just undies,
contented with the nude air.
Some whispers tripped around me
before entering. Time leaps.
Trees are once sea plants, especially junipers.
We must look like sea plants too.
If the wind is blowing out through the mains,
and the cars are warm with people,
and the windows open to view,
and the racoons, rarely seen but known to be there,
and if all that, of everything,
comes along while you're asking,
some arms are all you need;
we must look like sea plants too.
